We won! We won! Yes, that was repetitive. But only because we won two awards. First: Berlinagenten has won the 2018 Luxury Travel Guide Award for „Tour Guide of the Year – Germany“! Each year LTG’s subscribers, hotel guests, travel agencies, and industry experts world wide vote on companies they feel are deserving of recognition. It seems our scheme to make people love Berlin (and us) is working out nicely! Now we’re crossing our fingers that we’ll attend the Global LTG Awards in London next year. With a little luck, we’ll take home the global award like we did in 2016, when our Gastro-Rallye concept won the award for „Culinary Experience of the Year“.
Secondly – we were awarded „Tour Company of the Year 2018“ by Travel & Hospitality Awards. The T&H Awards is a global awards programme appreciating hotels, travel companies, restaurants, wedding planners and spas – basically all sorts of companies that make your life a little more comfortable. Just like LTG Awards, at T&H subscribers, users and guests can vote for their favourite company. We’re absolutely stoked by the love shown for Berlinagenten. You guys rock! You can learn more about LTG Awards here. More information about T&H Awards can be found here.
No matter if Henrik’s wearing a shirt, a smoking or just his slippers: Red carpets unroll in front of him faster than you can say “why is he naked”. As the foremost Berlinagent, he carries a heavy burden. He has to represent a whole company, and so he parties like he was a whole company. No oyster is safe, no champagne glass escapes his sight, no party goes crazy before he turns up! Before we take off for summer vacation, we want to share some wet memories with you.
ic! Berlin Flagship Store Opening
Berlin’s favourite brand for screwless sunglasses has new headquarters! Naturally the manufactory threw a major party sure to get you screwed anyway. Finest drinks, a sneak peak at the upcoming summer collection and celebrity Friedrich Liechtenstein singing – all under one roof. Lovely! By the way, you can come check out the store even if you’re not looking for glasses. Free co-working and co-playing all week long.
The Grand – 5 Years Jubilee
The hidden gem near Alexanderplatz is well known for its excessive parties. An upper class restaurant at daytime, The Grand turns into a jungle of beats and grooves at night. Unsurprisingly, their 5 year jubilee party was more crowded than Berghain on Sunday, but no less heavy on the liver. Among the happy faces were Till Schweiger’s buddy and movie producer Tom Zickler and gastronomy baron Jesko Klatt.
COS Opening at KuDamm
Houston, the eagle has landed. H&M’s premium brand COS has re-opened and redesigned their Ku’Damm outlet. Premium brand means premium guests. It was little wonder the party was crowded by stylish fashionistas and curious onlookers, who tried to conceal their lack of style with an extra beer or two. Just the way we do it in Berlin.
It’s been a while since we last reported about our sinful little weekends maneuvers, but that’s just because we’re always working or drinking. Or both. It is our self proclaimed noble duty to visit the city’s flashiest red carpets and help empty the champagne stocks where we can. And all just for you! Promise. Here’s the hottest openings of the past months.
Bricole
Prenzlauerberg’s buggy-pushing-vegan-moms, rejoice! The district of soy milk frappucinos and sky-high rents now boasts its own distinctive gourmet temple. With Bricole, former Borchardt restaurant manager Fabian Fischer sets sail for new culinary horizons. The opening night revealed an atmospheric Hors d’œuvre-Bar with a tasty stronghold: wonderful bite-sized portions inspired Paris’ culinary delights, just without the stiffness. The only thing you won’t find at Bricole are main courses.
Interview Magazine Party Ever since Andy Warhol founded INTERVIEW magazine in 1969, their parties put people’s livers to the test. Naturally our livers weren’t exactly thrilled when we received an invitation to the German spin off’s 5 year jubilee. But it’s hard to say no when the party takes place at Provocateur, Berlin’s brand new burlesque hotel. Red plush, international top DJs and a Russian oligarch as sponsor attracted celebs from Dr. Döpfner (CEO Springer) to TV icon Palina Rojinski.
Bulgari’s Night of the Legend Party
Befitting their reputation as an extravagant fashion label, guests of Bulgari’s Berlinale party were chauffeured in sleek brand-new Porsches. The party’s motto? “See and be seen”. The same as every fashion party’s. Ever. What most people don’t know: The A-list celebs just come for the red carpet. After that, they take off to the next paparazzi-loaded event and leave the party to the C-&D-list. Spotted on the carpet: Lottie Moss (Kate’s sister), Toni Garrn, Armie Hammer and Daniel Brühl.
GALA magazine Berlinale Party Gala magazine loves gossip, but for celebrities it’s a love-hate relationship. On one hand they want privacy, on the other they crave attention. Gala’s grand Berlinale party definitely was a hotspot for attention seekers – the who-is-who of the film scene assembled to kick off this year’s Berlinale. Crowds of celebs shuffled down the red carpet, foremost Jean Paul Gaultier, who loves Berlin parties. In Paris, everyone’s too snobbish. Couldn’t agree more, Jean Paul. Now give us back our champagne glass.
RBB Xmas Special It seems the word has gotten around that we’re a real door opener for nightlife reports. This time it was TV station RBB who asked us to show them how Berlin ticks when the sun goes down. We present: Berlin from 9pm to midnight.
Berlinagenten Luxury Award Party We’re easily among the coolest lifestyle agencies in the milky way, so naturally we had to throw a big fat party to celebrate our award as “best culinary experience of the year” at Luxury Travel Guide. As true hedonists, we invited our partners to celebrate at sinful Sodom&Gomorra bar in Berlin-Mitte, where the nights are known to be just as long as dirty. The atmosphere was delightful until Henrik held his thank-you speech fuelled by no less than three moscow mules. After his speech, things went off the hook. Sword-swallowing Beautiful Jewels, pumping party classics and an everlasting supply of Berlin’s finest beverages assured the No. 1 Berlinagenten rule was enforced: no one goes home sober.
Eat Berlin @ Mampes neue Heimat According to lifestyle magazine Traveller’s World, Eat Berlin ranks among the 10 best gourmet festivals in the world. Tickets to their selected events are in high demand, so we were lucky to be invited to one of the coolest events to date – Skykitchen’s away game at MAMPE’s neue Heimat. Star cook Alexander Koppe’s 5-course menu was the perfect match for three distinctive Mampe drinks – a revived Schnapps label that can only be bought at the manufactory in Berlin.
We’re happy to present one of the most voluptuous issues of Henrik’s World of Glamour yet. With top notch openings like John Reed, Sir Savigny and Moxy we have some of Berlin’s most sought after red carpet events on our list. We love the Berlinagenten life.
John Reed McFit’s new premium fitness studio series John Reed combines modern funky interior design with live music sets from local and international DJs. We were a little skeptical at first, but their opening party near Gesundbrunnen revealed a location radiating more club potential than some long-established clubs! Even celebs like Wladimir Klitschko and Till Schweiger joined the first booze-fueled workout. We danced through the night in an intense cardio session to beats by Loco Dice. Sport can be very sexy and fun with the right features!
Sir Savigny Luxury-boutique-hotel Sir Savigny, the latest accelerator in West Berlin’s rise to a global top destination, opened its doors in Berlin with a bang, burgers and an excessive supply of exquisite beverages. The location’s open spaces allowed guests to seamlessly slip from the lush urban garden to the indoor fireplace and of course to its distinctive in-house burger bar The Butcher. The Party got so wild, one of the upstairs showrooms with an in-room bath tub was transformed into a temporary party area by overly enthusiastic guests, who definitely were NOT us. No one can prove the opposite. We got rid of the witnesses.
#madebygoogle Event
For the launch of their brand new Pixel smartphone Google invited a young & hip crowd of tech-lovers, journalists and creative pioneers to an evening filled with exclusive art showcases and live music acts. Thanks to MONOMANGO’s amazing light installations we didn’t need a search engine to find our way through the location’s rough industrial spaces and could rely entirely on our slightly tipsy senses.
Moxy Underground Party (hotel opening)
There are good parties and then there are parties that are completely off the hook. In an eccentric one-of-a-kind experience, Moxy Underground paid a wild hommage to Berlin’s profilic nightlife culture. They transformed a whole level of their newly opened design Hotel near Ostbahnhof into a raging dance floor, complimented by fetish live shows, latex clad people, tattoo artists waiting in the hotel rooms and the constant smell of vinyl and leather in the air. Rough, raw & wild – just the way we like it.
bEAT Party Berlin Food Week probably is our favourite time of the year. Visionary chefs, gourmets and foodies from all over Europe become pilgrims, coming to showcase and worship the latest culinary trends from around the world. At bEAT Party in Mitte’s industrial Heizkraftwerk, Berlin’s trendiest restaurants and international top DJs teamed up to serve both hot delicacies and pumping beats to a party-hungry crowd.
Following our honouring as Germany’s best Culinary Experience by the Luxury Travel Guide earlier this year, we’re more than thrilled to announce our Gastro-Rallye concept was premiered global winner in the category Culinary Experience of the Year by the LTG award team last Monday (November 7th).
At the award ceremony in London’s Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street, nominees from around the globe competed in 30 categories to discover the best accomodations, restaurants, destinations, wedding specialists & tour companies in the world. The black tie event was moderated by guest judge and Travel Channel host Shane Green and included Sash&Fritz premium vodka from Berlin, which we took to be a good omen for winning the award ceremony.
Bringing his ravishing blue glittering blazer to full bloom, Henrik’s appearance on stage was sure to steal the show. He thanked the award team and announced it wouldn’t have been possible without his amazing team, restaurant partners and guides, but also that he wasn’t completely surprised by winning, since he already received lots of international press coverage and A-celebs signing up for his lifestyle tours in Berlin.
The award also is a recognition for the aspiring Berlin culinary scene, which now officially ranks among the best gourmet destinations in the world. The scene has come a long way and this award confirms Berlin’s fine-dining destinations have come of age. The city is ready for the world’s most demanding foodies, jet-setters and gourmets and we’re sure it will create even more buzz in the years to come. Berlinagenten already plans the launch of the successful Gastro-Rallye concept on a global stage. Stay tuned for more info.
Berlinagenten has quite a history. More than 10 years ago Berlinagenten CEO Henrik Tidefjard founded one of the foremost lifestyle tour agencies in Europe. Berlinagenten has been a success story from day one and it’s important to share your values and experiences with the world and help young aspiring founders to find inspiration for the careers that lie in front of them.
At the Junior Chamber Club (a sub-organization of the Swedish chamber of commerce) in Düsseldorf, Germany, Henrik held a speech in front of JCC members, ambitious founders, interested parties, career experts, company representatives and board members. He advised them to look beyond their framing, to find their own path in a world where so much already seems to have been achieved. To not be envious of someone else’s success but to live and give life to the fullest, so the world can benefit from your energy and you can benefit from the world’s energy.
We hope we managed to inspire some of the thinkers and doers of tomorrow, not so they can follow our footsteps, but so they will leave their own.
For the past year we’ve been secretly working on what we believe is one of the most glorious image movies of all time, and we’re both happy and proud to share the result with you today before hopping on the plane to our summer vacation.
Our love for Berlin grows deeper with every day, a love we like to share with our high demanding customers, from world travellers to celebs like Madonna,Tara Reid or Adele. With us you’ll dive into Berlin’s thriving lifestyle scene and experience everything from its edgy underground parties, sexy beach clubs, world famous street art to its high class cuisines and everything beyond.
For more than 10 years we’ve been working both locally and globally as an internationally renowned lifestyle agency, aiming to the create unique, honest, and genuine experiences
for our customers from all over the world. Berlinagenten says THANK YOU for your trust and we’re already looking forward to the next 10 years with you!
Image movies are a tricky thing. Even with best intentions, they sometimes end up being as enjoyable as a ride on a crowded S-Bahn at 30°C. In a stroke of genius, Swedish airline SAS’ PR agency contacted us to help with the SAS image movie for Berlin. Berlinagenten has been living next to the city’s creative pulse for 15 years now and we know just what puts the enthusiasm on our visitors’ faces: the legendary, one of a kind nightlife.
There are venues in Berlin opened non-stop from Friday night to Monday evening, sometimes longer. Parties on any day of the week, absolutely no curfew, spontaneous open air parties, inexpensive drinks and a surplus of amazing nightlife locations. The fun literally never stops in Berlin. So, what better way to showcase Berlin’s virtues to the world than by conquering its nightlife in an epic 3 hour ride?
Long story short. We set off for an epic with a film team that didn’t know what was coming to them. Doors flew open, smiles were flashed and we got naughty. Here’s the video. Enjoy.
The buzz in Berlin never stops. We’re proud to present the latest issue of… Henrik’s World of Glamour!
Colette West Berlin’s rise on the fine dining radar is unstoppable. Capital’s favorite chef Tim Raue opened the french brasserie Colette near Zoologischer Garten and it’s bound to blow your taste buds to heaven. The fine dining venue is located on the ground floor of a retirement home and funny enough, the opening event’s food mainly consisted of dishes that didn’t require a lot of chewing. We’re sure Colette will please wealthy seniors and culinary connaisseurs alike.
Olaf Heine – Do Not Disturb Olaf Heine is best known for his impressive star portaits. The close bond the photographer creates with the likes of Rammstein, Iggy Pop, Snoop Dog, Max Herre and countless other stars shows on his unique pictures, a selection of which was on display at his vernissage at Berlin’s first music hotel nHow (rockstars are expected to leave their rooms demolished). The edgy showroom located right at the Spree is the perfect fit for anything artsy and THANKFULLY wasn’t overcrowded. Quality over quantity.
Platoon Platoon Kunsthalle was one of Berlin’s hottest pop up venues over the last years. Food, art, parties, workshops, discussions, chess boxing, exhibitions – you name it, it’s probably been to Platoon. But all good things come to an end and now Platoon is moving on. After coming to Berlin from Korea a few years back, they’re now making way for Mexico, where Platoon will spend the next couple of years. Their closing party was one for the legends – unfortunately our camera battery gave up the fight after the first hour.
Umami Umami has opened a new outlet for their delicious Asian treats in West Berlin. The opening event on culinary stronghold Bergmannstraße was studded with celebs and fueled by an astonishing amount of Saigon Mules. The place was bursting at the seams and the influx of guests just wouldn’t stop. Usually the attendance rate for openings in Berlin is between 60% and 80%. Umami managed to achieve a casual 110%. We left shortly before all the air inside was used up.
Tiger of Sweden
Finally Tiger of Sweden is conquering Berlin! Their new store in Mitte boasts a calm and clean design on 120 sqm, where you’ll find both suits and Denim wear for men. We ate our way through some illegaly tasty Swedish finger food while listening to Hugo Capablanca’s music, who welcomed the Tiger to Berlin in style. Go Tigerrrrrrr!
Grab a bottle of champagne and put your kinkiest party dress on – Berlinagenten won an Oscar! Well… not an actual Oscar. We’re happy to announce we won the Luxury Travel Award for the Culinary Experience of the Year, which honestly is the closest thing to an Oscar you can win without being an actor.
The award winners are selected for their achievements in the travel industry by in-house professionals, international representatives of the hospitality scene and celebrity guest judges. They awarded our Gastro Rallye, a tour where one course is served at each restaurant. The ‘Gastro Rallye’ is an overall experience. While you’re eating and enjoying yourself in 3 or 4 different restaurants, you gain an introduction to the lifestyle of Berlin.
The focus lies on innovation of food and a modern kitchen, service orientation, contemporary interior and cool overall design. We usually avoid Michelin star restaurants as they often are too pretentious, missing the buzz of a cool crowd. That approach was the beginning of Berlinagenten – a story of success. It was never our intention to save the world, but to help high demanding travellers. We feel very honored to receive this award and we want to thank all our customers, partners and guides who have made all this possible.
